Crash.....into me

So tonight was a good night......Balled it up with the guys at the arc, the outdoor courts. Good times, like 2 hrs of playing back to back games. Fun stuff. Afterwards I went home and got ready to go watch a movie with a bunch of yfc folks. We saw Crash which was an awesome flick, you all should see it. do it. DO IT. But yea, after that I was thinking we would go eat, but apparently that wasnt on the agenda. It's ok tho, Im glad I got to chill with those peeps. Like Fama told me when I got to the theater..."Joe we never hang out anymore!" I agree Fama, let's change that. So I got dropped off and I chilled with the roommates until about now. My roommate told me a funny story.....apparently while I was playin ball, she saw me and tried to yell and shout and scream at me.......I can just see it; a 5ft Filipino girl jumping up and down trying to get a white guy like 100ft away to look at her, while also trying to explain to all the people staring at her that she really does in fact know the guy she's yelling at. Yea thats funny.
Another funny story.......we got out of the movie and we were walking back to the car and the walkway we had to use was getting sprayed from the sprinklers. So we manned up and ran through, not getting too wet.....but not 15 secs after we passed through, the damn sprinklers shut off. It was pretty ironic and funny all at the same time. Little stuff like that makes me smile at the end of the day.
So I just read Kirsten's blog and I just now realized that it is in fact 9th week of the spring qtr. Wow, where has the time gone? Crazy. But it's gone by quickly in a good way. This past wednesday at Catholic Appreciation Night (NOT "C.A.N."!!!) me and Marites were talkin about how sometimes the year would speed by and we couldnt slow it down, but other times it dragged intolerably. Either way was sad. But that's ok. Speaking of Catholic Appreciation Night, I would like to thank all of the people who serve in any way at mass or at interfaith and the University Catholic Community......like Fr Pat says, you all have a special place in Heaven.
I am humbled. I am not worthy. I need prayers. I was appointed UCC director on Wednesday and the entire time I was trying really hard to think of all the things I would have to do to make sure the place stays in as good of shape as Mike Cao kept it in. And of course Marites quietly helped him in everything. As a team we were able to see God so much more clearly in everyone and through their service we were re-energized. I just hope all of you pray for me in this enormous task. I talked to my mom about taking over and she asked me when did it become clear that I would accept it. The first thing that came to mind was the day of JP2's death when they were reading segments of his will, and one of the articles was addressed to the future Pope. JP2 said something to the effect that the new leader should not hesitate in accepting the task God has set before you, it is not through our human power that we perform our duties anyway, so keep complete trust in God and His strength will bear you through all. (That isnt a quote, just an approximation).
Anyway, thanks be to God for blessing me. Now to some shoutouts
